# A jewelry video ad with a song that gets the metal right

For a jewelry brand, SingingAds reads the page for a ring, necklace or pair of earrings, writes an original jingle about who wears it and when, sings it with an AI voice and cuts a 9:16 ad with captions. Because it copies claims from your page, a phrase like "14k gold vermeil" or "lab-grown diamond" is sung exactly as you wrote it, never shortened to plain "gold" or "diamond".

Paste your product page. SingingAds writes a jingle about it, sings it and cuts a vertical video ad, using only claims your page makes.

From $15 for one ad, or $29 a month for about 4 thirty-second video ads. Made with AI; you approve every word before anything is sung.

## The words jewelry ads get wrong, and the FTC rules behind them

The FTC's Jewelry Guides (16 CFR Part 23) apply to retailers as well as makers. A song squeezes words, so these are the ones to protect:

- **Gold.** Plain "gold" can mislead unless the piece is 24 karat throughout. For an alloy, the karat should come right before "gold" ("fourteen karat gold"). Plated or coated pieces need wording that says so.

- **Vermeil.** Sterling silver coated with gold of at least 10 karat and at least 2.5 microns thick.

- **Lab-grown diamonds.** The FTC says to put "laboratory-grown", "laboratory-created" or similar immediately before "diamond", equally conspicuous.

- **Pearls.** "Cultured" goes right before "pearl".

- **Flawless, handmade.** "Flawless" only if no flaws show under 10x magnification; "handmade" only if the whole shaping and finishing was done by hand.

In a jingle, "equally conspicuous" means you sing the full phrase and it shows in the captions, not only on the end card.

## Close-ups make stones look bigger

Note 3 to section 23.1 of the Guides says a picture that shows a gemstone larger than it is may mislead unless you disclose the true size. Close-ups, realistic or animated, enlarge by nature. Put the size in a sung line or in the shot's words ("a 4 mm stone, shown up close"), and redraw any frame where the stone looks like a different cut or color than the one you sell.

## What a jewelry jingle should say

- **The moment it gets worn or given:** a first paycheck, an anniversary dinner, stacking a third ring.

- **The material, word for word from your page,** sung once and clearly.

- **One care or comfort fact** your page states, such as hypoallergenic posts or a tarnish-resistant coating.

- **Who buys it:** self-purchase and gift buyers want different songs. Make one of each and see which earns the click.

## Length, look and the four steps

You paste the product page; SingingAds writes and sings a jingle and cuts a 9:16 video with your piece in frame on a fictional adult character; you download the MP4 and the song; and before anything is made you approve every word, metal and stone name included. **15 seconds** fits one piece; ** 30 seconds** fits a gift-season story. ** Studio product** keeps your real piece unchanged in macro shots, ** 3D** makes metal shine, ** anime** suits playful charm pieces, ** clay** suits whimsical styles. See [example ads](https://singingads.com/examples).

## Planning around gift dates

Jewelry sales bunch around Valentine's Day, Mother's Day and December. Make the ads three to four weeks before each date, test the gift-buyer and self-purchase songs side by side for a week, then move budget to the winner while there is still shipping time. Keep the evergreen version (no date on the offer card) for the rest of the year. If you also sell clothing, the page for boutiques covers drops and fabric claims, and [pricing](https://singingads.com/pricing) shows what a batch of seasonal ads costs in credits.

## Before it runs

- Every metal word has its karat or plating qualifier, in the song and in the captions.

- Stones are named as your page names them: lab-grown, simulated, natural.

- Close-ups carry a size note.

- The offer card matches the sale that is live, especially around gift dates.

## Example brief and lyrics (illustrative example; Little Magpie Studio is a made-up shop)

**Page says:** "Tide Hoops", 14k gold vermeil over sterling silver, 18 mm, hypoallergenic posts. The title tag says "Gold Hoop Earrings".

**Brief:** buyer is someone buying a gift for a sister who wears the same hoops every day. Claims to sing: 14k gold vermeil over sterling silver, 18 mm, hypoallergenic posts. Flagged: the title's plain "gold" is not used.

**Lyrics, 15 seconds:**

- She wears the same pair every day,
- so give her Tide Hoops, made to stay,
- fourteen karat gold vermeil on sterling,
- easy on the ears, Little Magpie.

## What it can’t do

- It does not show real models; the piece is shown in frame with a fictional adult character, realistic or animated.
- In the animated looks the stone is redrawn in that style, not your product photo; pair the ad with real photos on your page.
- It cannot check your karat, plating or grading; it sings what your page states.

## Questions

**Can my jingle just say "gold"?**

Only for solid 24 karat pieces under the FTC Jewelry Guides. Otherwise sing the karat before "gold", or say plated or vermeil as your page does.

**How do I sing about lab-grown diamonds?**

Sing the full phrase, "lab-grown diamond" or "laboratory-created diamond", every time the word diamond appears. The FTC wants the qualifier right before the word and just as prominent.

**The close-ups make my stone look huge. Is that a problem?**

It can be. The Guides say showing a gemstone larger than its real size may mislead unless the true size is disclosed, so add the size to a line or caption.

**Can the ad call my pieces handmade?**

Only if your page says so and it is true in the FTC sense: the whole shaping, forming and finishing done by hand.

**Will it work for Valentine’s Day or Mother’s Day?**

Yes, as long as the offer is on your page. Make the gift-buyer version a few weeks ahead so you can test hooks before the rush.
