# An Instagram Reels ad with music you are allowed to run

Meta's own Reels ad specs say ads should not contain licensed music and point you to original audio instead. SingingAds writes an original jingle about your product from your product page, sings it with an AI voice and cuts a 9:16 Reels video to it, so the music in your ad is yours to use in ads and on social media, with no royalties.

Paste your product page. SingingAds writes a jingle about it, sings it and cuts a vertical video ad, using only claims your page makes.

From $15 for one ad, or $29 a month for about 4 thirty-second video ads. Made with AI; you approve every word before anything is sung.

## Why the trending sound in your Reel cannot go in your ad

Organic Reels and Reels ads play by different rules. Meta's ads guide lists "licensed music" among the things Reels ads should not contain, and recommends original audio or royalty-free tracks from the Meta Sound Collection. The Sound Collection is a fine, safe choice, but anyone can pick the same track, and it will never sing your product's name.

Here is the trade SingingAds offers: you hand over a product link; it turns that into a sung jingle and a vertical Reel built around the song; you leave with the MP4 and a separate audio file; and the lyrics cannot wander past what your page says, because you sign off on the brief, the claims and every line first.

## What the song has to do in a Reel

- **Seconds 0 to 2:** the hook line, sung over the first shot. It names a moment ("cold coffee by nine?"), not the brand.

- **Seconds 2 to 15:** two claims from your page, each with its own shot, so the picture proves what the voice says.

- **The chorus:** the product name once or twice, attached to the benefit, so the two stick together in memory.

- **The close:** an offer card if your page has an offer, then the end card with your web address.

Word-by-word captions are burned in, which matters on Instagram: plenty of people scroll with the sound low, and the words still land.

## Fit it to the Reels safe zones

Meta suggests keeping about 14% of the top, 35% of the bottom and 6% of each side clear of text and logos, because the profile icon, caption and call-to-action button sit there. The bottom third is the one that bites: check that the offer card and the last caption line are not hidden under the button in the Ads Manager preview.

The ratio Meta asks for is 9:16, which is what you get. Meta recommends 1440 x 2560; the SingingAds file is 1080 x 1920, well above the minimum width Meta lists for ads of 30 seconds or longer. Meta also suggests keeping primary text to about 44 characters, so let the song do the talking and keep the text short.

## Length and look for Reels

Reels ads can run far longer than any product needs, so length is your choice, not Meta's. Use 15 seconds for people who already follow you or visited your page, and 30 seconds for cold audiences. Choose 60 only if the product needs a short story. Longer ads animate more shots and use more credits; see [pricing](https://singingads.com/pricing). For the look, cinematic and studio product keep your real product unchanged in lifelike shots, and UGC feels like a phone video; of the animated looks, clay suits slow, tactile products like ceramics and soap, 3D suits gadgets and anything with a distinct shape, and anime suits bold, colorful brands.

## Before you publish

- Upload the MP4 as a new ad. Do not lay a second track from Instagram's editor over the jingle.

- If you boost an existing Reel instead, note that Meta's list also excludes reels with product tags, GIFs or face effects.

- Read the captions once for spelling, especially the brand name.

- Turn on the AI label. The cinematic, UGC and studio looks are realistic AI footage, so Meta expects the label, and for the animated looks we recommend it too; our [AI disclosure](https://singingads.com/ai-disclosure) page explains why.

## Illustrative example: a made-up pottery shop

**Shop:** Hollow Hill Pottery (a fictional studio). ** Product:** the Slow Morning mug, speckled stoneware, 14 oz.

**Buyer:** someone working from home who drinks coffee at the desk. ** Moment:** the coffee is cold before the first meeting ends.

**Openers offered:** "Cold coffee by nine?" / "Your mug gives up before you do" / "One mug, the whole slow morning".

**Claims from the page:** handmade stoneware, holds 14 oz, dishwasher safe. Flagged and left for the owner to decide: "keeps coffee hot for hours" (a result claim, so the owner decides whether it stays).

**Lyrics, 30 seconds:** Cold coffee by nine again / meetings running, who knows when / pour it slow and hold it near / Slow Morning, glad you're here / Speckled stone and made by hand / fourteen ounces, just as planned / in the dishwasher, done by ten / Slow Morning, pour again.

## What it can’t do

- It does not add trending sounds, covers or Sound Collection tracks; the music is always a new song.
- It does not imitate a real singer or a famous song, even as a sound-alike.
- It does not post the Reel or run your Meta ad account.

## What it costs

From $15 for one ad, or $29 a month for about 4 thirty-second video ads. A jingle take costs 4 credits; a typical 30-second video ad about 26. There is no free tier and no free sample.

## Questions

**Can I use the same song in my organic Reels?**

Yes. Social media use is covered, for your own business or a client's, with no royalties.

**Is the Meta Sound Collection good enough?**

For background music, often yes, and it is royalty-free. The difference is that a stock track cannot sing your product name or your claims, so it carries mood but not message.

**Will the AI voice sound like a famous artist?**

No. SingingAds does not clone voices or imitate real singers, bands or songs.

**Can I run this on Facebook too?**

Yes, the file works in Reels and Stories placements across Meta. For the Facebook feed, see Facebook video ads with a jingle.

**How long does one Reels ad take to make?**

The brief and lyrics take seconds, the song about a minute, and the storyboard and video usually 5 to 15 minutes more, depending on how many shots you animate.

**Can I hear examples before buying?**

There is no sample of your own ad, but you can watch and listen to our [example ads](https://singingads.com/examples) first.
